Tradition in Every Drop.
Our Story
Our story began in 2023 when Ben, a fifth generation beekeeper, decided to follow in his forefathers footsteps and start keeping bees of his own. What began as a small hobby quickly grew into a full-time passion, and Ben now works alongside his father while managing over 50 colonies of bees himself.
In 2025, Abbie joined the business and quickly developed a passion for beekeeping too. She now oversees our candle making and ensures that all orders are carefully prepared and sent out on time. Together, we are proud to produce high quality honey and beeswax products from the heart of the Shropshire and Herefordshire countryside.
Our bees forage on wildflowers, hedgerows, and orchard blossom, creating honey that reflects the natural character of each area. At Stevens honey and bees, we believe honey should be pure, natural and minimally processed. Every jar is carefully harvested and prepared by us to preserve the natural flavour, aroma, and goodness that bees work so hard to create.
What makes our honey special is simple — it comes straight from our hives to your table. We don’t blend honeys or heavily process our products. Instead, we let nature do the work and focus on caring for our bees and the environment they thrive in.
"Today, Stevens honey and bees continues to grow, but our philosophy remains the same: healthy bees, local honey, and a true taste of the British countryside "
Beeswax Candle Care Guide
To get the best from your beeswax candle, please follow these simple tips:
Trim the Wick
Before each burn, trim the wick to around 5–6 mm (¼ inch) to help maintain a clean, steady flame.
First Burn Matters
Allow the candle to burn long enough for the wax to melt evenly across the top surface. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn.
Avoid Drafts
Keep candles away from open windows, fans, and air vents to prevent uneven burning or dripping.
Burn Time
For best results, burn your candle for 1–4 hours at a time.
Keep Wax Clean
Remove wick trimmings, matches, or debris from the wax pool to maintain a safe and clean burn.
Store Correctly
Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a candle snuffer to extinguish safely.
